Apr 26, 2008; Talladega, AL, USA; NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Carl Edwards (60) goes airborne after contact with Kevin Lepage (61) as David Reutimann (00) and Steve Wallace (66) spin during a multi car accident during the Aarons 312 at the Talladega Superspeedway. The crash was started when Lepage was exiting pit road and pulled up into the field going 100mph slower than the pack of cars going over 190mph. Initially Lepage blamed the other drivers for not going around him but "After reviewing the tapes of the accident I realize I need to apologize to NASCAR, the car owners, my fellow competitors and, most importantly, the fans," he said in a statement released by his team, Specialty Racing. "I made a huge driver error by blending onto the race track in the wrong area. This caused a multicar accident and changed the outcome of the race for many teams..Mandatory Credit: Mark J. Rebilas
