040605-N-6213R-003 Gulf of Alaska (June 5, 2004) - An S-3B Viking from the "Blue Wolves" of Sea Control Squadron Three Five (VS-35) launches from the flight deck aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). The S-3B Viking, an anti-submarine detection aircraft used extensively during the Cold War, is slowly being phased out of military service.   Stennis and embarked Carrier Air Wing Fourteen (CVW-14) are currently at sea participating in Exercise Northern Edge while on a scheduled deployment.  Photo by Mark J. Rebilas
